Wangara Green Ventures is pleased to announce an investment in Sommalife Limited, an innovative social enterprise based in Wa, Ghana.
Sommalife Limited has rapidly established itself as a leader in merging technology, productivity, and environmental sustainability. The company’s mission is to sustain income and enhance climate resilience for smallholder farmers, digitizing and resourcing them to produce quality shea nuts and other agro commodities in large volumes for both international and local markets. Sommalife is empowering its fast-growing network of farmers, especially women, to become successful entrepreneurs and environmental stewards.
The investment by Wangara Green Ventures will enable Sommalife to expand its operations, support more rural farmers, and increase its community impact. The funding will enhance Sommalife’s ability to pre-finance producers, improve market access, and extend environmental conservation efforts, thereby promoting sustainable development and poverty alleviation in rural Ghana.
“We are excited about this partnership with Sommalife Limited. Their commitment to economic empowerment, environmental stewardship, and community development aligns well with our mission at Wangara Green Ventures. This investment represents a significant step towards fostering sustainable economic growth and achieving multiple SDGs in rural Ghana”, said Ebenezer Arthur, CEO of Wangara Green Ventures.
We are delighted to join forces with Wangara Green Ventures. This is a testament to our shared vision of promoting economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, and community development. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our mission to drive positive change and improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in West Africa, with a special focus on women farmers.” said Mawuse Christina Gyisun, Co-founder of Sommalife Limited
